Art Nouveau is a decorative art style that emerged in Paris at the end of the 19th century. This obi draws inspiration from the glassworks of Émile Gallé, a prominent artist profoundly influenced by Japonism.

What is exquisite about this artwork is the crystal-clear elegance it exudes when displayed in a room.Crafted from luxurious silk, its texture resembles that of glass, although silk typically conveys a softer, more solid material presence.

The warp leaf yarns exhibit a gradient ranging from gold to bronze, while the weft features light purple leaf yarn, capturing the gentle transparency, luster, delicacy, and cool texture reminiscent of Gallé's glasswork.

Against an elegant, streamlined background, botanical patterns adorn the right side, while animal motifs embellish the left. Woven using eight colors of silk and gold yarn, it brings forth rich hues and lively expressions.

This design is woven in one direction. When the obi is hung, the design appears reversed on the backside. However, this does not affect its appearance, as the design is intentionally non-directional.
