We have woven all 55 pieces of Utagawa Hiroshige's "The Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō," which includes the 53 stations as well as the starting point at Nihonbashi and the ending point at Sanjō Ōhashi. The production took about a year and a half, and all pieces were crafted with genuine gold leaf. Below are just a few highlights, but all 55 pieces are available for purchase.

Morning View of Nihonbashi

Nihonbashi, the starting point of the Tokaido Fifty-Three Stations. Depicted is the bustling scene of early morning departures of daimyo processions and fishmongers in Edo. Utilizing the unique technique of Nishijin artisans of mixing a limited number of colors to create a diverse palette, they accentuate the morning glow and texture of the buildings with even greater depth than traditional woodblock prints.

With genuine gold leaf and platinum leaf
