The roses are in full bloom this season. Although it's a bit of a distance from Nishijin, if you're looking to enjoy roses in Kyoto, I recommend the Kyoto Botanical Garden. With just the right size for a pleasant stroll, it features around 300 varieties of roses! One of its unique charms is the presence of rose varieties related to Kyoto. While some bloom early and others late, I believe this weekend might be the peak. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit!
