Pottery Experience at Kikyo-gama Kiln
Would you like to make your own pottery at Kikyo-gama, an traditional anagama kiln located near Kyoto? If you are interested in an active wood-fired kiln, you can only see one outside Kyoto as wood-fired kilns are now prohibited within the city of Kyoto. The pieces you create will be fired in the kiln and sent to you at a later date.
Duration: 2 hours
Meeting Place: JR Chiyokawa Station
Minimum Number of Participants: 1 to 4 people
Age Requirement: Elementary school age and above
Operating days: Monday to Friday
Cost (Tax Included):
- 1 Person: 32,500 yen
- 2 -4 people 19,500 per person
Included in the cost:
- 1kg Clay (equivalent to one large plate or two small plates), instruction fee, and firing fee
- Transportation between the JR Chiyokawa Station and the Kikyo-gama
- One Interpreter

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are subject to charges starting 7 days before the experience date.
